Have so much to update y’all on.
But in the meantime, enjoy this view I had from my balcony outside my room yesterday, x.
That schedule sounds very intense, indeed! Wow!
It is! But I think when you get used to it, it gets a lot easier.
It also depends on how easy you find school in general too, I think.
Yes - 5 days a week and I find it intense, personally.
You have to maintain attendance above 80% or else you fail the year. I think that means that if you miss three classes for one of the lessons, you fail it. At least, that’s what I can gather from it. So yes.
Unless you get a doctor’s note, sick days are also considered as days off.
I find it very intense, and the workload doesn’t give me much time to socialise. Although sometimes I do socialise and thus sacrifice my grades. Ha ha
There’s a test every week or grammar, I believe. The mid-terms and end of semester tests.
An average week you will have three grammar lessons (each lesson is only about an hour and a half long or something like that), a kanji lesson, a reading and writing lesson and a Japanese Affairs class. All taught in Japanese. As well as a kind of culture discussion class, if you are placed into the N3+ classes.
I wrote a bit about the lessons here.
Hope that helps! x.
Can’t live for tomorrow. Tomorrow’s much to long…
Edit: I also forgot to mention, I fed a turtle too. =)
So I had the most mortifying moment of my entire school life the other day. However, the teachers have all been great and understanding about it, which has really helped to ease all the embarrassment and self-hatin’.
In addition, one of my teachers’ - Midori Indou - gave me this treat today. =)
Aw, I was so touched!
Sometimes I think some of the teachers must hate me ‘cause… I must be very frustrating to have as a student! Ha ha
Currently multitasking eating Pocky and singing along to music. Poor neighbours…. ‘Cause I’m chocking a lot as I attempt this. =) (Ha ha, and I can’t sing?? Hahahaa, and Mariah Carey just came on. This will go amazingly)
This is the sound of club music these days, people.
I lie. But I found it funny!
They also played Michael Jackson’s new song, “Love Never Felt So Good" (yes, he’s dead - but his music lives on~ ha ha). Put their DJ skills to work on it and it was still golden, I was so happy. Decided to leave on that high note (at about half 3am or something, ha ha).
Oktoberfest in Japan.
This was in May, in case there was any confusion!
